You’re working late again, it’s 7:30 pm, and you still have MORE to do to meet a deadline. You’re not getting paid overtime; you do what needs to get done. You know your extra effort will go unnoticed. A feeling washes over you. ‘This is not right for me; this is not how I want to spend my working life.’ If only there were another option, a dream job where you felt appreciated, loved the work and earned an excellent salary. But that seems impossible, but is it? There are people all over the world doing exactly that. So how did they do it? Well, they learned how to ask the Universe for their dream job. So how do YOU do it?

Here are five steps to manifest to ASK the Universe for your dream job.

  1. Recognise the REASON you’re in a job you hate – The Universe is always helping us. Sometimes that help puts us in a job we hate so much. It forces us to look closer at our true selves and align with what we DO want! Sometimes it’s learning a lesson for our soul’s evolution. We can step back by identifying the lesson and seeing the bigger picture. Have you been in similar jobs and had similar negative emotions about the job? No matter how many times you change your job, do you find yourself with the same type of annoying co-worker? What’s the pattern? What needs to change? Alternatively, Is there something you’re learning that will set you up for the next chapter? A skill, a technique, industry connections? Manifesting gets a turbo boost when you acknowledge the life lessons you are willing to learn to grow from, even if they are painful. Get quiet and find the subtle intelligence within you and ask. ‘What is the REASON I’m in this job? What lessons do I need to learn, what behaviour patterns need to change before I can be open to receiving my dream job?’
Why do you hate your job?
  1. Get clear about the new job you want – The Universe drops us hint all the time about what our true career path should be for the highest good, but we often ignore these in favour of what we think we should do, what our parents, culture, religion, limiting beliefs. What’s something you’ve always wanted to do but felt wasn’t “realistic?” Pay attention to the tasks that get you into a flow and follow the hints. You could even take a test you can take which will help you identify your natural talents and give you some direction if you’re uncertain. Your dream job will allow you to follow your dream and use your natural gifts, skills and talents—one where you find yourself in FLOW, in a state of enjoyable focus where time stands still.
  2. Write a resignation letter to your current job – Once you get clarity on what you want, you can begin the internal process of letting go of your current job. You and the Universe will have difficulty creating a new gig if you’re still clinging to the old job emotionally and subconsciously. Letting go is a step many people miss out on as they get hung up on “needing” their current position. You still need to make money from your current job until you find another one, but you don’t need to cling to it with fear and doubt that you can’t find something else. Fear and doubt will keep you stuck and repeating the same patterns. There is a natural called the law of vacuum, and it states once you release something and create a space for the thing you desire, the Universe will act and replace it with your desire. The trick here is to believe in your desire consistently. To show the Universe how much you believe, write your resignation letter and date it for when you want to receive your new job offer. Your subconscious mind understands it’s time to let go and focus on your new goal.   (BTW, don’t actually send that resignation letter to your boss without ensuring you have a new gig lined up!)
  3. Use scripting to bring your dream job closer. – Write yourself a letter from your future self as if you already have a job. Include how happy and thankful you are that you can use your skills and provide value for your employer or customers and describe the environment as much as possible. Read this before bed and first thing in the morning. An example is ‘Today. I’m meeting with my bright, energetic, and creative team as marketing director at XYZ company. The meeting is very productive, and everyone smiles and feels a collective pride in all our accomplishments. We’re going above and beyond our expectations and are excited to travel to our annual company retreat in (an exotic, exciting location.) XYZ’s directors, stakeholders, our customers love the results we deliver. By writing in the present tense, you tell the Universe that this is occurring NOW. The Universe will work to make this a reality.
  4. Act as if you already have the job –  How would a person in your dream job spend their day? For example, if your dream job is an Actor, what would they be doing? Where would they be hanging out, either online or in person? Are there classes you can take? Blogs you can read. The law of assumption states that when you ‘act as if you’re on your way to becoming (or more accurately, you already are!)

Conclusion

It becomes a fact when you ask the Universe for your dream job! You asked, you believed, and you received! In a short amount of time, you’ll find yourself looking back at the day you decided to manifest your dream job with a sense of awe and wonder; you will know HOW this law works and trust it as much as gravity.
